Never

There was a time when you and I were one,

Just as the moon only glows with light from the sun.

And now that I can say, I finally got better,

I’m never going back.

Not me,

Never.

But I’m strong enough now to save us both,

So, let’s defy what the Fates wrote,

No matter how many tell me you’re a tie I should sever,

I won’t let go.

Not you,

Never.

Because just as the sky gives color to the sea,

Nothing can separate you from me.

And no matter the trials, times, or winters we weather,

We will never part.

Not us,

Never.
